Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based access and reimbursement expert to educate HCPs on patient support programs and payer policies. You will collaborate with Oncology teams to address payor requirements and support product access strategies.

Candidates should have deep knowledge of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement dynamics, and be prepared for HCIR credentialing, travel within territory, and provider relationship building.

Qualifications

• Oncology and/or hematology-oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, and patient support.
• Communicate coding/billing at national/regional levels across settings.
• Understanding of Medicare Parts A-D and related reimbursement dynamics.
• Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements and related checks.
• HCIR credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprints.
• Excellent territory and account management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on acquisition options: specialty networks, distribution, white-bagging.
• Provide resources to address access issues for patients.
• Offer local expertise on payor policies to educate providers on coding.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish and maintain provider relationships within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy changes.
