Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based access and reimbursement expert to educate healthcare professionals on patient support programs, payer options, and reimbursement processes. You will collaborate with oncology teams and payor stakeholders across territory to ensure compliant coding, billing, and claims submission practices while maintaining HCIR credentialing readiness.

Qualifications

• Oncology/hematology-oncology experience preferred.
• Experience with payer processes, coverage and reimbursement.
• Knowledge of coding, billing and claims submission processes.
• Familiarity with national/regional payer policies and affordability programs.
• Ability to communicate complex reimbursement concepts across care settings.
• Credentialing requirements including HCIR procedures and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on acquisition options, specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Provide resources to address access issues for patients.
• Share payer policy insights with providers and education teams.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Monitor payer trends and report to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Build and maintain provider relationships within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement and policy activities.
