Job summary

AbbVie invites a field-based payer access specialist to join our oncology team. You will educate health care providers on patient support programs, reimbursement options, and payer requirements, while living within a reasonable distance of the primary city.

Responsibilities include collaboration with oncology stakeholders for key account management, tracking payer trends, and supporting providers with coding, billing and claims submissions. HCIR credentialing and state licenses are essential.

Qualifications

• Oncology/hematology experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with payer processes and reimbursement.
• Knowledge of Medicare Parts A-D and coverage.
• Ability to educate providers on access programs.
• Credentialing requirements met or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on specialty pharmacy networks and white-bagging options.
• Provide local expertise on payer policies to providers.
• Collaborate with oncology stakeholders for account management.
• Identify payer trends and report to teams.
