Job summary

Hussmann, a Panasonic USA subsidiary in Savannah, GA, seeks a skilled Technician to maintain and repair supermarket refrigeration and HVAC/R systems. You will diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance, and document work using digital tools, collaborating with Master/Lead Technicians.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or HVAC-R training, 5 years field experience or 3 years with certification, and a valid driver’s license. Ability to work nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance knowledge.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required or expected.
• Ability to work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning systems with direction from senior tech.
• Complete work tickets and time sheets; use handheld computer for documentation.
• Maintain truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance guidelines.
• Develop customer relations and clearly articulate equipment issues.
• Understand basic electrical schematics and TEV troubleshooting.
• Handle refrigerants safely and work with hazardous materials as needed.
