Job summary

Energy Solutions, LLC seeks a Radiation Safety Technician to implement and monitor the field Radiation Safety Program at our Oak Ridge site. You will ensure compliance with regulations, perform surveys, and manage radioactive material handling from receipt to disposal.

The role requires 5+ years in radiation safety, ANSI/ANS-3.1 qualification, and strong communication and instrumentation skills. Weekend 12-hour shifts on Fri–Sun are part of the schedule; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiation Safety Technician.
• Demonstrated knowledge of local, state and federal radiation safety regulations.
• Experience with field implementation of the Radiation Safety Program.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor field radiation safety controls.
• Maintain and calibrate counting and detection equipment.
• Prepare radiation work permits and brief personnel on conditions.
• Conduct area surveys and respond to incidents involving radionuclides.
• Assist in training Radiation Safety Technician staff.
