Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. offers a Quarry Operations & Engineering Intern role for Summer 2027 in Dundee, MI.

This 10-week paid internship provides hands-on experience in an outdoor mining environment, working with engineers and plant managers to optimize production and ensure safety and environmental compliance. You will gain exposure to surveying, field mapping, and mine planning, with opportunities to present insights to senior leadership at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in Mining, Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance and solid engineering fundamentals.
• Geographic flexibility to work at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors in an active mining environment with engineers to optimize production and safety.
• Conduct field surveying and mapping using GPS and surveying tools.
• Monitor crushing, screening and haulage equipment efficiency.
• Assist with blast pattern layouts and fragmentation analysis.
• Identify bottlenecks in material handling and operations.
• Participate in MSHA/OSHA safety walks and environmental monitoring.
• Present learnings to senior leadership at internship end.
