Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Quality professional to join the TIC Power District. You will report on project quality performance, oversee QA/QC activities, and act as a liaison to customers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with procedures.

The role requires willingness to travel across North America, relocation as needed, and strong written communication. Base compensation ranges from $77,000 to $86,000 per year with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field
• Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for employment
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters
• Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs and learn other applications
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and interruptions

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams and engineers/clients
• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems and cost-saving measures; take corrective action
• Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions
• Maintain knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and promote standardization
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification log/files for assigned districts
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports
