Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Tampa, FL, seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality program within a single project, reporting to a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule tests, witness field and lab work, and draft the daily QC report.

You will open and track nonconformances, coordinate with the superintendent and engineer of record, and ensure certifications and files remain audit-ready.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to communicate up to the superintendent when a lift fails.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests and verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
