Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project, updating the inspection and test plan, scheduling tests, and writing the daily QC report. This role requires leadership in field QC activities and close coordination with the project team.

You will open and track nonconformances, coordinate with the superintendent and engineer of record, and pursue certifications to advance from inspector to manager, shaping the program

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, inspection, or contractor QC.
• Hold or be willing to pursue ACI/NICET/ICC/USACE CQM-C certifications.
• Ability to read specs and drawings and convert them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and capable of communicating nonconformances to superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project ITP and the testing frequency log against specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and lab tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write daily QC reports and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close NCRs with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Lead quality discussions with superintendents, owners, and inspectors.
