Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the site quality control program on a single project in Sacramento, ensuring the ITP is current, scheduling and witnessing the required tests, and delivering a daily QC report.

The role includes opening and tracking nonconformances with the superintendent and engineer of record, maintaining calibration and certifications, and guiding field inspectors to a complete, audit-ready quality record on time.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or contractor QC.
• Certifications: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC Special Inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and drei-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Lead look-ahead planning to align pours, lifts, and structural work with testing requirements; own NCR conversations and corrective actions until retests pass.
