Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the QC program on a single project under a senior manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and open and track NCRs through closure, ensuring records are audit-ready.

You will interact with superintendents and engineers, read drawings and specs, and guide field inspectors toward compliant testing. This role offers growth to Quality Manager II and sponsor training.

Qualifications

• Reading specifications and drawings and turning them into a field test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to communicate with superintendents about nonconformances.
• Experience in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specs.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
