Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Project Field Quality Control Manager to lead field quality activities on the R-Project, based in Stapleton, Nebraska, with travel as needed.

You will oversee inspections, audits, and records to ensure work meets project requirements and safety standards. Ideal candidates have a journeyperson Powerline Technician certification or equivalent, 7–10 years of quality management in powerline or civil construction, and strong leadership to mentor QC staff

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification or equivalent trade credential.
• 7–10 years of quality management experience in transmission powerline construction or civil construction.
• Experience as QA/QC inspector on large-scale projects.
• Experience leading teams of Quality Coordinators or Inspectors.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with field personnel and clients.

Responsibilities

• Implement project quality plans, inspection tests, procedures, forms and ensure field teams follow them.
• Inspect concrete, civil works, stringing, excavation, and structure setting to standards.
• Audit contractor and supplier compliance; perform site visits and quality reviews.
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, root-cause investigations, and closures.
• Maintain inspection reports, logs, test results, and certificates for traceability.
• Assist with closeout documentation and timely completion of quality records.
• Improve field practices through lessons-learned and coaching of teams.
