Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior manager. You will maintain the ITP, witness tests, write daily QC reports, and manage nonconformances from start to close.

Requires 3+ years in materials testing and relevant certifications; strong reading of specs/drawings and ability to drive a test schedule. Travel may be involved as the project dictates, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable communicating with a superintendent about nonconformance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
