Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Quality Specialist to measure and monitor construction quality on utility-scale solar, storage and substation sites. You will perform random sampling inspections, identify discrepancies and drive continuous improvement across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical scopes.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for field and office use.
• 3+ years of solar EPC or utility-scale construction quality control experience.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications and QA/QC protocols.
• Familiarity with solar installation methods and standards (NEC, IEEE, ASTM).
• Proficient with inspection tools and digital documentation practices.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Site Inspections & Verification: travel to active projects to perform random sampling inspections.
• Evaluate installation quality across DFOW in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical scopes.
• Verify compliance with project specs, drawings and industry standards.
• Compare inspection results to identify variances and drive improvements.
• Document discrepancies with photos and NCRs as needed.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs and quality documentation.
• Communicate inspection results and trends to project teams and subcontractors.
• Collaborate to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support training onboarding and quality procedures delivery.
