Job summary

Pro Staff in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Quality Engineer to be the technical expert behind product quality and warranty success. You will investigate failures, drive corrective actions, and work with dealers, suppliers, and customers to improve quality and reliability across tractors and off-road equipment.

Responsibilities include failure analysis, corrective actions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in failure analysis, quality engineering, inspections, warranty analysis, or root cause investigations.
• Extensive knowledge of tractors, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or off-road vehicles required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, diagnostics, ECUs, and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect parts for compliance.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze failed warranty parts and perform root cause investigations.
• Review dealer and customer quality concerns and provide timely resolution support.
• Inspect components against engineering drawings and identify non-conformances.
• Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support product updates, service campaigns, and warranty recovery efforts.
• Monitor dealer service portals and partner with field service teams to address technical concerns.
• Conduct parts teardown inspections, quality audits, and product evaluations.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product performance.
