Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA seeks a Field Quality Engineer to lead and coordinate quality activities across platforms, improving customer experiences through data-driven improvements. You will gather feedback, drive failure analysis, and coordinate with Product Technical Support, Field Teams, and customers to implement fixes.

This role reports to the Customer Product Quality Manager and requires travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, management or related discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer/supplier interaction.
• Ability to travel up to 50% with peaks at higher levels.
• Influence across departments with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Experience applying lean methodologies in manufacturing quality.
• Familiarity with quality tools and project tracking using IT tools.
• Data analysis skills (MS Excel/Power BI or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, facilitate, and report customer and field quality activities.
• Oversee quality across equipment platforms, including failure analysis.
• Gather data from support teams, field, and customers to define fixes.
• Develop a defined project pipeline with priorities for improvements.
• Coordinate communication between field teams and product teams.
• Quantify benefits and track improvements to customer experience.
• Provide field-facing data analysis to drive quality improvements.
