Job summary
The Planet Group seeks a Field Quality Control Manager for an on-site role in West Texas. The candidate will lead daily QC activities, review structural steel work, and ensure compliance with project specs on a large-scale infrastructure project.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction QC, strong field leadership, and the ability to develop site QC plans. English/Spanish bilingualism is a plus, with competitive benefits and potential per diem for travelers.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality control or inspection experience in construction.
- Experience with structural steel construction projects.
- CWI certification preferred; otherwise 5+ years experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
- Proficiency with MS Office and PDF tools.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate on-site quality control and inspections.
- Review work and materials for specs compliance.
- Develop site-specific quality control plans.
- Maintain inspection reports and non-conformance records.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address quality issues.
- Lead quality meetings with field personnel.
- Support safety and continuous improvement.
- Ensure inspections and tests are completed on schedule.
