Job summary

RK Industries in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Field Quality Compliance Specialist to uphold quality standards across field construction projects. You will develop and implement field quality procedures, train crews, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications.

The role requires a deep QA/QC background, a CWI certification, and extensive field experience. You will collaborate with project teams, coordinate audits, and drive continuous improvement in field

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality control or related field.
• CWI certification with at least 5 years of weld inspection experience.
• 3+ years developing and implementing QMS in field environments.
• ICC Bolting Inspector and ASNT Level II (MT & UT) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, IBC, ICC, ASNT standards and inspection methodologies.
• Able to interpret structural drawings, erection plans, and technical specs.
• Experience with audits, non-conformance reporting, and quality data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize field-quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection protocols in line with the corporate QMS.
• Deliver technical training to field personnel on inspection techniques and QA documentation.
• Conduct field audits and inspections to verify adherence to project specs and industry standards (AWS, IBC, ICC, ASNT).
• Coordinate inspection activities with Project Managers, Engineers, Field Supervisors, and third-party inspectors.
• Identify non-conformances, initiate CAPA actions, and validate effectiveness of solutions.
• Support pre-task planning and lead QA briefings to reinforce quality expectations and risk mitigation.
• Track KPIs related to field quality and audit findings; assist with audits and documentation traceability.
• Perform other duties as assigned; overtime as required.
