Job summary

Napakiak Environmental and Construction is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support field inspections on Federal and commercial projects in the Oak Ridge area. You will verify that structures, systems, and components conform to codes, standards, and contractual requirements, documenting findings and dispositions as needed.

The role requires US citizenship and DOE Q security clearance eligibility, plus health and safety training and adherence to a federal drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for DOE Q security clearance and US citizenship.
• Health and safety training and client-driven drug and background testing required.
• Marijuana remains prohibited under Federal law; comply with federal drug-free workplace rules.
• Strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use inspection planning tools and determine sample sizes.
• Ability to interpret design documents and specifications.
• Ability to select appropriate measuring tools and techniques.
• Understand measurement types and terminology.
• Identify and report non-conforming conditions.
• Basic calibration knowledge.
• Knowledge of quality control principles.
• Knowledge of regulatory and contractual requirements affecting QA.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections at project locations examining equipment and materials for required characteristics.
• Document inspections using the Inspection Report Template.
• Report CAQ deficiencies per established processes.
• Interpret results with respect to codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
