Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to support manufacturing targets at the Oak Ridge Technology and Manufacturing Center. You will lead quality planning, measurement systems, and inspection processes within a DOE-contractor environment.

Requirements include 5+ years of quality engineering in manufacturing, NQA-1 experience, and US citizenship with ability to obtain DOE Q clearance if needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with NQA-1 quality systems.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract security requirements.
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation to secure DOE Q security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Advanced Product Quality Planning activities including PFMEA's, Control Plans, and MSA.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in inspection technology and data collection.
• Coach and mentor others in quality topics.
• Develop inspection plans identifying instrumentation and gaging.
• Review procurement and design specifications for quality controls.
• Lead investigation of escapes to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Lead evaluation of test equipment and precision measuring instruments.
