Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians to perform field and laboratory tests on projects across our building science portfolio. You will work outdoors and indoors, documenting results and supporting project teams with timely, accurate observations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, up to 2 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license for those driving on ECS projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or technical degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Certifications such as NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI EIFS Inspector or ICC certifications preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Must be able to lift 40 lb multiple times per day, stand for extended periods, walk on uneven ground, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Test and observe for new construction, built environment, testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation, and related services.
• Perform field and laboratory testing and observations.
• Learn to test, observe and document systems in reports; communicate with teammates and clients.
• Calibrate and use field equipment; assist with maintenance and organization of field equipment.
