ECS Group is seeking Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians to perform field tests and observations on construction and building science projects. You will work in the field and lab, documenting results and supporting equipment maintenance.

The role emphasizes in-person field work, weather readiness, and collaboration with project teams across sites to deliver rigorous site observations and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related technical degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as NRCA/IIBEC/AWCI may be preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving ECS subsidiary vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians perform routine field tests and observations on projects.
• Test and observe for new construction, building enclosure, forensic investigation, and related services.
• Perform field and laboratory testing and observations as assigned.
• Progressively learn testing of various systems indoors and outdoors in different weather.
• Daily communication with ECS crew, project managers, principals, clients and site reps.
• Attend project meetings with senior staff and/or clients as requested.
• Document test results and observations in reports; calibrate and use field equipment.
• Assist with maintenance and organization of field equipment and notify supervisor of issues.
• Incidental duties may include office clerical tasks and report production.
• Other duties as requested.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Associate or technical degree in civil engineering/architectural engineering or related field

NRCA certification

IIBEC certification

AWCI EIFS Inspector certification

ICC certifications (relevant)

Valid driver’s license
