Job summary

J.R. & Co., Inc. seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the construction QC program on federal and commercial roofing projects.

You will verify work against plans, maintain daily quality docs for government contracts, and act as the field QC contact for QA representatives. Extensive travel to project sites, including military installations, is required. This full-time role requires USACE/NAVFAC CQM-C certification and OSHA-30, with potential RMS/QCS or IIBEC credentials.

Qualifications

• Must have USACE/NAVFAC CQM-C certification.
• Experience with commercial roofing and building envelope quality control.
• OSHA-30 or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Familiarity with federal quality reporting systems preferred.
• Ability to obtain access for military installations.

Responsibilities

• Execute three-phase control process for each Definable Feature of Work.
• Perform daily quality inspections and complete QC reports.
• Verify work against drawings, specs, submittals, and manufacturer details.
• Track submittals, RFIs, and testing documentation.
• Serve as field quality contact for government QA reps and manufacturers.
• Maintain deficiency logs and oversee corrective work to final acceptance.
• Advise site teams to correct quality issues before work is covered.
• Travel to project sites, including extended stays, supporting EM 385-1-1 safety.
