Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will keep the ITP current, schedule and witness tests, write the daily QC report, and track nonconformances to closure.

This role is the first management seat for a field inspector or technician who understands what a failing test looks like and wants to own the program rather than a single test.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Possess ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Able to read specs and drawings and convert them into a test schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project ITP and testing frequency log against the specs.
• Schedule and witness field and lab tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC reports and the three-phase meeting records; manage NCRs until closure.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
