The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is recruiting for a Staff 1, Associate Engineer in the Construction Division IA Lab in Elko, NV. The role involves QA program management, training and certifying field testing engineers, and maintaining IA Lab operations.

Travel up to 50% across the state is required, with on-site work only and no remote option. Required qualifications include Engineer Intern certification or a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• QA program management and field testing oversight.
• Knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals and traffic/structural design concepts.
• Ability to read, interpret and prepare technical reports and plans.

Responsabilités

• Participate in planning, design, analysis and inspection of construction and maintenance of transportation systems and bridges.
• Design and analyze traffic systems including signals and highway lighting.
• Design pavement structural sections and rehabilitation strategies for roadways.
• Perform technical reviews of water rights, environmental compliance and related regulations.
