Job summary

EMC is seeking a Property Risk Control Field Technical Specialist to conduct on-site property inspections and risk evaluations for commercial accounts and high-hazard properties. You will analyze fire protection, CAT exposures, and building integrity, then provide actionable recommendations to improve safety and underwriting decisions.

The role involves producing comprehensive survey reports with diagrams, photos, and risk improvement guidance, and developing Property Loss Expectancies.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in large property loss control, risk assessment, or HPR environments.
• CFPS, CSP certifications preferred or equivalent.
• Strong hazard identification with focus on Middle Market, Large Account and Specialty spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site inspections of commercial accounts to evaluate property risk exposures and controls.
• Assesses exposures related to fire protection, CAT, crime, and liability risks.
• Evaluates life safety systems and building construction integrity.
• Prepares survey reports with diagrams, photos, and risk improvement recommendations.
• Develops Property Loss Expectancies (PML, NLE, MFL).
• Collaborates with underwriting to support pricing and policy decisions.
• Communicates hazards to clients and offers cost-effective risk reduction solutions.
• Travels within assigned territory; valid driver’s license required.
