Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Property Condition Assessor to join our team. You will evaluate structural and mechanical conditions of diverse building types across the region, performing field inspections with engineers and environmental specialists, and delivering clear reports.

The role requires a background in engineering/construction, several years of experience, and willingness to travel. You will contribute to safety planning, client communications, and project coordination while

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction and 5 years of related experience, a Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience and no degree.
• Experience with ASTM E2018, Energy Auditing Services and energy conservation measures.
• Environmental Assessment experience is a plus.
• OSHA-10 or -30 certification required; HAZWOPER beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Property Condition Assessments, commercial energy usage assessments, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Direct field assessment activities with engineers, environmental professionals, subcontractors, and clients.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities for projects.
• Write and review detailed building condition reports and energy audits.
• Coordinate with safety plans and ensure on-site safety.
• Mentor team members and support Managing Consultant with data and utilization.
• Travel regionally to support clients and leadership needs.
• Support quality control of service delivery and uphold high standards.
