Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking.
• Proficiency with smartphones and Microsoft Office applications.
• Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
• Outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Valid driver’s license and bondable; background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage and negotiate settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate agencies.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators.
• Promote safety and adhere to company manuals and standards.
