Job summary

Capstone ISG Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Property Claims Adjuster to independently manage residential and commercial property claims from investigation through resolution.

The role requires strong coverage analysis, accurate estimating, and the ability to manage multiple claims of varying complexity. The successful candidate will conduct field investigations, assess loss exposure, negotiate settlements, and provide comprehensive reporting while complying with regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; additional education in insurance, construction, business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Previous property claims adjusting experience preferred; company-sponsored adjuster training available for candidates without experience.
• Experience with Xactimate estimating software strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, materials, and repair practices preferred.
• Ability to interpret insurance policy language and apply coverage provisions accurately.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations for residential and commercial property losses.
• Analyze policy language, endorsements, coverage forms, exclusions, and client instructions.
• Evaluate and adjust property claims from routine to high-severity cases.
• Document damage with photos, measurements, interviews, and field notes.
• Prepare repair and replacement estimates using Xactimate and other resources.
• Maintain claim reserves based on findings and projected exposure.
• Draft settlement letters, denial letters, and Reservation of Rights letters.
• Coordinate engineers, contractors, and other experts for causation and damages.
