Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate family, seeks a Field Property Adjuster to inspect property damages, investigate coverage, and guide customers through the claim process across Burlington, Middlesex, Mercer, and Monmouth Counties in New Jersey.

The role blends field inspections with virtual claim handling using Xactimate, offering autonomy with a company vehicle and a flexible schedule. Prior claims experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of content across policy types written by the company.
• Strong estimating fundamentals to create/audit damages on 1st party homeowners' losses.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect property damages across assigned NJ counties.
• Investigate coverage and prepare estimates for claims.
• Negotiate settlements and document activities in complex files.
• Evaluate settlements considering regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Coordinate with leadership, peers, contractors, vendors, and customers.
