Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative I to support building engineering projects across client sites. You will read construction drawings and specifications, maintain daily records, review materials for contract compliance, and track quantities for pay estimates.

Under supervision, you will attend progress meetings, help develop punch lists, and coordinate with subcontractors and inspectors. Strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to travel to sites are essential to succeed in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental understanding of contracts and codes governing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience reading schedules and monitoring project timelines is helpful.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera or related construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
• Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor's activities, labor, equipment and materials used.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
• Conduct observations of installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work, develop punch lists, and ensure correction.
• Develop record documentation for engineer review and acceptance.
• Assist with project audit/closeout.
• Work under supervision of a more-senior Resident Project Representative or Design Project Manager.
