Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, startup, and training on Fire, Security and Building Automation projects. You will collaborate with the project team to ensure work is completed within scope, budget, and schedule.

You bring a customer-first mindset, strong supervision skills, and hands-on experience with building systems. The role prioritizes safety, quality, and clear communication as Convergint grows and maintains an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with building automation, fire alarm or life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; strong math skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and scope of work.
• Supervises Project Specialists, Installers and subcontractors in the field.
• Coordinates and supervises subcontractors including directing on-site activities and verifying quality assurance standards.
• Assists in overall coordination of specific projects with Project Coordinator; recommends changes in scope as needed.
• Identifies project risks and helps implement strategies to minimize impact and optimize costs and deadlines.
• Ensures installation quality in accordance with codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services systems including fire, life safety and building automation.
