Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering is seeking a Field Project Engineer III to oversee design and project management for complex industrial projects. You will coordinate technical deliverables, support discipline engineering, and develop conceptual and basic engineering documents for system layouts and major equipment specifications.

As the primary client contact, you will ensure alignment with contract documents and safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management or related discipline.
5+ years of heavy industrial experience in field engineering, project engineering, or construction management.
Experience in chemical plants, liquid terminals, natural gas liquids or LNG.
Understanding of industrial construction processes and technologies.
Willingness to learn; strength in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor the design and project management team.
Coordinate technical deliverables and support discipline engineering.
Serve as primary technical contact with the client on major projects.
Ensure projects are constructed and documented per contract documents and good engineering practices.
Support project managers with cost/change controls and budgeting.
