Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Field Project Engineer III to oversee design and project management teams, coordinate technical deliverables, and serve as the primary client contact on major projects.

Responsibilities include monitoring system design, guiding project schedules, ensuring manuals and procedures are followed, supporting project managers with cost controls, change orders, and site coordination, with travel across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of heavy industrial field/project engineering experience.
• Experience in chemical plants, liquid terminals, NGL, or LNG industries.
• Understanding of industrial construction processes, structures, and technologies.
• Broad understanding of engineering disciplines; priority to mechanical/electrical/instrumentation.

• Monitors overall system design development and project sequence.
• Collaborates with project delivery to meet quality, schedule, and budget.
• Ensures work complies with manuals and procedures and contract documents.
• Provides technical support to Project Managers, manages cost/change controls and budgets.
• Assists in change order estimation and negotiations.
• Coordinates schedule updates, invoices and submittals.
• Monitors construction progress and reviews contractor schedules.
• Reports project status to business leaders and attends client meetings.
• Oversees construction QA and responds to field issues.
