Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Project Engineer in our Operations department to support the execution and management of construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager, Foreman, GC, and design team, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and financial tracking.

Responsibilities include preparing spreadsheets, maintaining project communications, performing takeoffs, and ensuring compliance with safety programs and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or 2 years' internship/co-op/experience).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability with a wide range of computer software.
• Engineer-in-training certification or journeyman license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to project teams.
• Assist with execution and management of project needs.
• Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Communicate regularly with the project team including foreman, PM, GC, and architects/engineers.
• Generate and manage project documentation (RFI, submittals, drawings, specifications, PO, etc.).
• Perform material take-offs from drawings to support estimates and changes.
• Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in all duties.
• May travel to various job sites as required.
