Job summary
US Tool Group seeks a Field Procurement Specialist to manage daily procurement activities, evaluate stock levels, and place orders with suppliers. You will handle PO acknowledgments, verify delivery details, and resolve shipment issues while collaborating with a Discrepancy Team to ensure accurate orders.
The role emphasizes supplier negotiations, blanket/spot buys, and maintaining strong customer service as you support site personnel and customers.
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement or buying for inventories (preferred).
- Familiarity with stock levels, lead times, and stockouts.
- Proficient with Windows OS and basic software tools.
- Experience handling supplier communications and purchase orders.
Responsibilities
- Daily correspondence with site personnel and customers.
- Evaluate stock levels and place orders with suppliers using planner tools.
- Process PO acknowledgments and print reports/POs.
- Verify delivery dates, quantities, UOM and pricing.
- Follow up with suppliers on unacknowledged POs.
- Contact suppliers to resolve shipment issues.
- Work with Discrepancy Team on discrepancies.
- Fill requests for products not currently carried.
- Place POs against requisitions and seek better pricing/products.
- Conduct supplier RFQs and negotiations; order blanket/spot buys.
