Job summary

Lam Research in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Field Process Engineer 4 to join our on-site team. You will lead process support, experiments, data analysis, and collaboration with cross‑functional groups to meet customer requirements and drive process improvements.

You will partner with Field Service Engineers and customers, design and run DOE/SPC projects, and help define chamber requirements and hardware changes to achieve performance goals, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and

Qualifications

PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related field; or MS with 3+ years of experience; or BS with 6+ years of experience.
Proficiency with data analysis tools and common office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
Excellent communication, written and verbal, and strong customer relationship skills.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and on‑call if needed.

Responsibilities

Provide process support, installation, and improvements for Lam equipment at customer sites.
Lead design experiments, collect data, analyze results, and generate reports for hardware modifications and upgrades.
Collaborate with customers to meet requirements for new technology processes and address deviations through root‑cause analysis.
Develop new or modified processes and define method process recipes in partnership with hardware teams.
