Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking a skilled tester and commissioning professional to support electric utility customers in the Midwest. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and collect data on high voltage transmission and distribution systems, while traveling regionally across Northern IL, Eastern Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula Michigan.

You will read and interpret power system schematics, maintain safety procedures, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience equivalency with at least 3 years in electric utility commissioning/testing.
• Experience in electric utility commissioning and testing preferred.
• Knowledge of standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, NFPA.
• Ability to read and interpret power system schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong written and oral communication of technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collect on HV transmission/ distribution systems, controls and relays.
• Read and interpret power system schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Adhere to electrical safety procedures and handle safety responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with customers and peers in writing and verbally.
• Travel regionally to cover Northern IL, Eastern Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula MI; occasional travel to other states.
• Meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate customer-focused service.
• Collaborate with team and management to resolve client issues; flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
