Job summary

Orion Talent in Columbus, OH is seeking hands-on Field Service Engineers to support critical power and electrical distribution systems. You will perform installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment including low-voltage distribution gear, transformers, and other power distribution equipment.

The role requires reading schematics, using test instruments, and traveling to sites on a project basis.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant electrical, power distribution, field service, maintenance, or related technical experience.
Hands-on experience with electrical power distribution systems and AC/DC electrical systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Experience using multimeters, current meters, and other test equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power distribution equipment.
Work with low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and related power systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems.
Use test equipment including multimeters, current meters, and related diagnostic tools.
Complete technical reports and service documentation.
Communicate with customers, project managers, and site personnel.
Follow all safety regulations and site requirements.
