Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power distribution systems nationwide and internationally.

This role involves extensive travel and direct customer interaction to ensure reliable operation of mission-critical equipment. You will diagnose complex issues, read schematics, and provide training and project updates while following safety policies and documentation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0–2 years engineering experience; internships welcomed.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical power distribution systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving switchboards, MCCs, generators, PLCs, VFDs, protective relays, etc.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and documentation.
  • Provide customer training and project updates as needed.
  • Document service reports and startup records; support safety policies.
