Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our outdoor vegetation management team. The role involves field work on rights-of-way, data collection via tablets, and use of forestry software. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and quality across projects while interacting with customers and stakeholders.

The position requires the ability to work independently, endure varied weather, and drive to multiple sites daily. Prior GIS and Microsoft Office experience is preferred; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/ walk Right-of-Ways (ROWs) and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work (pruning/removal) at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and complaints regarding vegetation work promptly.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
