Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our outdoor field team in Indiana. You will drive to sites, hike ROWs, inspect vegetation work, and record data using tablets and forestry software. The role emphasizes safety, public interaction, and delivering quality service to utility clients.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of trees, GIS, and Microsoft Office, plus the ability to work alone in varied weather while meeting tight schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and growth patterns.
• Hazard tree assessment and invasive species management.
• Proficiency with GIS software and Microsoft Office; use of an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards including driving and wildfire prevention.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties.
