Job summary

Par Pacific in Tacoma, WA is hiring a hands-on Pipeline Technician to operate, inspect, and maintain midstream pipeline systems and related equipment. You will monitor flows, respond to alarms, and support safety and compliance in a dynamic field role.

The position requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with SCADA/PLC, and the ability to work outdoors, on-call, and travel between field sites. A valid driver's license and TWIC may be required.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• TWIC card eligibility required or able to obtain TWIC.
• High school diploma or GED; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and/or TWIC may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain pipeline systems, stations, and equipment.
• Track flows, pressures, and product quality using SCADA/PLC; perform start-ups and pigging operations.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies in coordination with the control center.
• Maintain CMMS documentation and ensure accurate work orders.
• Coordinate activities with supervisors, dispatch, contractors, and landowners.
