Job summary

Plains is seeking a Pipeliner I for field-based maintenance across station, pipeline and terminal facilities. You will perform inspections, routine upkeep, minor repairs, and support technicians while adhering to safety policies in open environments with heat and cold exposure.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, basic math, and the ability to read maps and drawings. A clean US driver’s license and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps and technical drawings.
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication.
• Ability to perform basic math and use a computer (Excel, Microsoft Office).
• Valid US driver's license with a clean record.
• Clear background and pre-employment screening.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme heat/cold and in hazardous areas.
• Must complete Haz-Mat and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of station, pipeline and terminal facilities.
• Assists in routine equipment maintenance and supports other technicians.
• Delivers parts and supplies to jobsites.
• Assists in pipeline coating or related repairs.
• Supports environmental clean-up and leak repairs.
• Engages in construction and special projects as needed.
• Operates hot tap machines and reads rectifiers.
• Maintains rights-of-way and reads maps/drawings.
• Performs safety watches and enforces Plains policies.
• Participates in weekly station checks and safety drills.
• Supports other pipeline-related duties as assigned.
