Midwestern Gas Transmission is seeking a technically skilled operator for day-to-day operations and maintenance of natural gas compressor stations and gathering systems in Portland, TN. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and proactive equipment management.

You will perform routine controls adjustments, inspections, minor maintenance, and support for on-call emergencies, with a focus on accurate record-keeping and collaboration with supervisors.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in valve maintenance, leak survey of natural gas pipelines, mechanical aptitude, miss-dig or equivalent technical education (Level II Only).
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Associate’s Degree or Technical Education preferred; knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 pipeline safety regulation; experience with damage prevention and line locating.

Responsabilidades

• Operate natural gas compressor stations and associated equipment safely.
• Adjust controls and start up / shut down equipment.
• Inspect equipment and perform minor maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct gas leakage surveys and pipeline patrols; locate and mark underground pipelines.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and records; supervise contract labor as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor on process improvements and equipment efficiency.
