Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Pipeline Technician to safely operate field gathering and pipeline systems for natural gas and NGL transportation. The role involves supporting field compression facilities, processing plants, and pipeline networks under supervision.

The technician will perform locates, monitor contractors, support pigging operations, and manage field inventories. Strong emphasis on safety, PPE, and on-call responsiveness is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Interpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all teams, personnel, and vendors.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, on-call rotation, and respond to call outs as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
• Follow and adhere to PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate field gathering and pipeline systems safely and efficiently as directed by supervisor.
• Perform One Call locates and monitor contractors working around pipelines and rights-of-way.
• Assist pigging operations with proper documentation and procedures.
• Manage site inventories of glycol, methanol, and produced water.
• Monitor flow rates, volumes, and pipeline balance; detect restrictions and take action.
