Job summary

Acuren is recruiting Pipeline Technicians for Quinnesec, MI and surrounding areas. This is a local callout/travel position requiring up to 50% travel across Michigan and surrounding areas. Relocation assistance is available for qualified applicants.

The role focuses on field inspection, data review, and reporting to support pipeline integrity programs. Approximately 90% of time is in the field, with 10% at the home division location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical background preferred in pipeline integrity or maintenance.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
• Valid NDE certifications or endorsements are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures and specifications, including reports.
• Perform direct assessment of pipe condition including coating, soils, and cathodic protection.
• Examine for cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies.
• Correlate pipeline features to ILI logs and write inspection reports.
• Conduct fit-for-service evaluations per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG.
• Ensure safe work practices and proper use of equipment.
• Update databases and assist with cost estimating and reporting.
