Job summary

Acuren is seeking a full-time Pipeline Integrity (PLI) Technician based in Duluth, MN. The role involves fieldwork across the United States, with 90% in the field and 10% at the home division. You will perform pipeline inspections, evaluation, and reporting to support our clients' integrity programs.

Qualified candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred, and possess Level 2 MP and UT certifications. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college education preferred.
• Technical background in fieldwork is desirable.
• Experience in pipeline integrity or maintenance roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
• Valid Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2 certifications required.
• At least one of the listed certifications/endorsements is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures and specifications; complete reports for clients.
• Perform direct assessment of pipe condition and coating integrity.
• Assess cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies.
• Correlate features to ILI logs and perform fit-for-service evaluations.
• Conduct hazard assessments and follow safe work practices.
• Calibrate and set up NDE equipment for field use.
• Deliver quality services in a timely manner to clients.
• Follow applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and safeguard tools, equipment, and assets.
• Document pipeline integrity data and update databases.
• Prepare and present inspection reports; support others with reporting.
• Assist with dig packages and cost estimates.
• Provide on-the-job training to PLI Assistants and Junior Technicians.
