Job summary

Acuren is seeking PLI Technicians to support our West Region operations across the US. The role focuses on pipeline integrity field examinations, analysis, review, and reporting of inspection data to support clients’ integrity programs.

Approximately 90% of time is fieldwork in remote areas with 10% at the home division; candidates must have Level 2 certifications in Magnetic Particle Testing and Ultrasonic Thickness, plus several additional endorsements. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience in pipeline integrity or maintenance strongly desired.
• Must hold current Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2.
• Travel up to 75% across the US West Region.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures and specifications, including reports.
• Perform direct assessment of pipe condition and coating.
• Inspect for cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies.
• Correlate findings to ILI logs.
• Conduct fit-for-service evaluations per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG.
• Calibrate and set up NDE equipment.
• Prepare pipeline integrity reports for clients.
• Maintain pipeline integrity databases and manage FTP sites.
• Travel and field work as required.
