Job summary

Acuren is seeking PLI Technicians for the U.S. West Region to support pipeline integrity services. The role involves field examinations, data review, and reporting to support integrity programs.

Approximately 90% of time in the field or traveling, with 10% at home division locations. Independent work in remote areas is common. Responsibilities include direct assessment, reporting, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred for technical roles.
• Technical background desired with pipeline experience.
• Experience in pipeline integrity or maintenance roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
• Current Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2.
• NACE CIP Level I / CP Level I preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to procedures and specifications and reporting.
• Direct assessment of pipe condition and coating/ soils/ CP.
• Assess cracks, corrosion, deformation, and anomalies.
• Correlate pipe features to ILI logs.
• Conduct fit-for-service evaluations per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG.
• Perform hazard assessments before work and follow safety procedures.
• Set up NDE equipment and calibrate as needed.
• Produce pipeline integrity inspection reports and assist teammates.
• Maintain pipeline integrity databases and reporting metrics.
• Travel across the US West Region; field/office mix.
